Tymoshenko demands return of funds ‘stolen’ by former government

The leader of the Batkivschyna faction [in the Verkhovna Rada], Yulia Tymoshenko, says that an investigation Into the activities of the former government, headed by Arseniy Yatsenyuk, should be carried out.
Yulia Tymoshenko said this on the Inter TV Channel on Sunday evening, the party’s press service reports.
“We should hold a full audit of all financial expenditures carried out by the Yatsenyuk government at all ministries and public corporations. We should documentarily register everything that was stolen from the state in a corrupt way by the Yatsenyuk government and demand the return of these [funds],” she said.
According to Tymoshenko, the Batkivschyna faction will announce such a requirement in Parliament on Monday.
"We need to create a temporary investigation commission that will include MPs independent from the ruling factions,” Tymoshenko said.
