UN Security Council discusses annexation of Crimea and hears MP Dzhemilev’s address today

The UN Security Council will hold a special session on Friday dedicated to the second anniversary of the Crimea occupation by Russia, where the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev is to make his speech.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko made a statement at his meeting with the European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides on Friday, Ukrinform reports.

"Today at my request special session of the Security Council will be held, which is dedicated to the second anniversary of the Crimea occupation where the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine, Mustafa Dzhemilev will present his address," he said.
