G7 ambassadors call on Russia to free Nadiya Savchenko

The ambassadors of G7 countries to Ukraine call on the Russian authorities to immediately release Nadiya Savchenko.

The relevant statement was posted on the website

of the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine.

"The ambassadors of G7 countries to Ukraine express their serious concern about the health of Nadiya Savchenko, the member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who has been imprisoned in Russia since 2014 and is now on hunger strike in protest against her detention in custody. The G7 ambassadors call on the Russian authorities to immediately release Nadiya Savchenko and fulfill the commitments within the package of measures for implementation of the Minsk Agreements, particularly, the release of all hostages and illegally detained persons," reads the statement.
