Klimkin: Difficult talks in Paris show moderate progress

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin described almost five-hour talks of the "Normandy format" foreign ministers as “difficult”, their progress "moderate" and the results “not crucial.”

The Minister said this at the French Foreign Ministry at the Quai d'Orsay, commenting on the results of the meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent in Paris reports.

"It was a very difficult meeting but we cannot speak about the crucial progress. However, we still have the opportunity to work together within the Minsk framework on the proposals in terms of security that we discussed with the OSCE [Special] Monitoring Mission. I believe that the progress is more than moderate," Pavlo Klimkin said.

The Minister added that no crucial arrangements had been reached on political and humanitarian issues.
