Ukrinform
Ukrainian human rights activist Eduard Bagirov was detained on the border with the Russian-occupied Crimea.

This is reported by 24tv.ua.

The court banned him from leaving Ukraine. He was given the corresponding decree of the Cabinet directly at the checkpoint "Kolonchak."

The human rights defender and his colleagues planned to check the conditions of detention of Ukrainian citizens in the local remand prison.

However, he was forced to return due to an incident on the border. Bagirov said that his rights had been grossly violated. He views the ban on entry to Crimea as illegal.
