Prosecutor General Shokin resigns

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin has resigned from office.
A source of the Prosecutor General’s Office told an Ukrinform correspondent.
“Viktor Mykolaiovych [Shokin] has submitted a letter of resignation,” a source of the Prosecutor General’s Office said.

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko stated he had a meeting with Shokin and asked him to resign from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
