Ukrainian leaders assure G7 ambassadors of consolidating position on reforms

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Groysman at a meeting with the G7 ambassadors have told them about a consolidating position on carrying out reforms in the country.

Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Shigeki Sumi told reporters following the meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The president, the prime minister and the parliament’s speaker have assured us that they will jointly work on carrying out reforms in Ukraine. They asked us not to worry,”

The ambassador also noted that Economy Minister Aivaras Abromavichus, who submitted a letter of resignation yesterday, didn’t attend the meeting.
