Klimkin meets with Turkish Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin held substantive talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu within the framework of the working visit to the Republic of Turkey.

The Turkish side confirmed its support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The parties expressed their common concern over the continuing human rights violations in the Russian-occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, and also agreed on joint steps for cooperation in this field.

The ministers discussed the situation in Donbas amid implementation of the Minsk Agreements, the wide range of issues on the global agenda, including regional security issues, joint steps in the fight against terrorism, cooperation within the framework of international organizations, the situation in Syria and Iraq.

A number of agreements on deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey in economic, energy, military-technical, consular and humanitarian fields was reached.
