The migrant crisis will not affect the process of abolishing the visa regime for Ukrainian citizens.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said this following the meetings at the European Commission on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent in Brussels reports.

"It is very important to have a clear support for Ukraine’s actions within the preparation for visa-free regime. The most important thing is the clear signal that the challenges of migration will affect neither the perception of Ukraine nor the decision-making of the European Union," Klimkin noted.

The Foreign Minister added that he discussed with the foreign ministers of the EU Member States the issue of how to make the free trade area a common success.
