Poroshenko pays tribute to liquidators of Chornobyl disaster

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has taken part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the memorial to “Warriors of Chornobyl” and the memorial burial mound to “Heroes of Chornobyl” dedicated to the Day of participants in the liquidation of consequences of Chornobyl disaster.
After the ceremony, participants of event observed a minute of silence in tribute to the liquidators of Chernobyl disaster, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Groysman, Vice Prime Minister Hennadiy Zubko, Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, Energy and Coal Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn, General Prosecutor Viktor Shokin and others attended the ceremony.
