EU to complete ratification of association agreement with Ukraine on Tuesday

This issue was included in the agenda of an EU Council meeting on Tuesday, Ukrinform's correspondent in Brussels reported.

The ministers of the EU member states will formally approve the decision, without discussion.

According to European Council President Donald Tusk, after the completion of international legal procedures, the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement will finally come into force on September 1.

The EU Council will also endorse on Tuesday a decision on strengthening the support of chemical safety in Ukraine in terms of the implementation of the UN Security Council resolution on non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery.

As reported, the completion of ratification and further implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement will be considered at a bilateral summit in Kyiv on July 12-13.
