The new premises of the NATO Delegation to Ukraine were opened in Kyiv on Monday.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Bringing the security and defense sector to NATO standards, conducting information and awareness work, as well as practical and sectoral cooperation, are the foundations of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration and they are our priorities," Klympush-Tsyntsadze said.

Stoltenberg, in turn, said that the alliance would strengthen support to Ukraine.

He said that NATO would continue to provide practical and political assistance to Ukraine and that the alliance was standing side by side with Ukraine in its struggle for its sovereignty and territorial integrity and would continue to deepen its practical support to Ukraine in many areas.

Stoltenberg said that a new NATO office in Ukraine would also host the NATO Liaison Office and the NATO Information and Documentation Center.

"The new premises, the new working conditions for the NATO office will enable us to work together even more effectively to help Ukraine in its reform process and increase its defense capability," the NATO secretary general said.

As reported, a NATO delegation, headed by the alliance's secretary general, attended a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission in Kyiv on Monday.
