NABU, FBI continue cooperation during next two years

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will continue cooperation for the next two years in investigations related to international money laundering, bribery and corruption of high-level officials from Ukraine, as well as return of assets by international means.

Director of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine Artem Sytnyk and FBI Supervisory Special Agent Matthew Moon signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the NABU and the FBI on June 29, the press service of NABU reported.

"The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (the Department for Combating International Corruption) during the next two years will cooperate in investigations in investigations related to international money laundering, bribery and corruption of high-level officials from Ukraine, as well as return of assets by international means. This memorandum is a continuation of the cooperation that started last year, when in June of 2016 the agencies agreed to provide assistance to each other," the report says.
