Poltorak invites Canadian defense minister to visit Ukraine in August

"Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak invited Mr Sajjan to visit Ukraine in August and participate in festivities on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine," the report reads.

During the meeting, General Poltorak briefed Mr Sajjan on situation in the east of Ukraine. He focused on discussion of prospects of defense cooperation and possibility of procurement of defense equipment in Canada next year.

Today, in the framework of the working visit to Brussels, Poltorak participated in the meeting of the ministers of the NATO member countries and held a range of bilateral talks.
