Ukraine, US sign Memorandum on cooperation between parliaments

The Memorandum on bilateral cooperation between the Parliament of Ukraine and the Congress of the United States was signed on Thursday by Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy and Speaker of the US House of Representatives Paul Ryan.
The ceremony took place during a bilateral meeting of leaders in the building of the US Congress, own Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“It is an important document that consolidates and structures cooperation between our Parliaments," Speaker Parubiy told reporters following the signing of the document.
The Memorandum defines the areas for inter-parliamentary dialogue, including in matters of international politics, security, trade, industry, innovation, infrastructure, and space. In addition, the document covers issues of cooperation in the areas of healthcare, agriculture, natural resources, and other areas.
