Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin states that the diplomats of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova are completing negotiations on demarcation of the common border between the countries.

Klimkin said this today at a press conference in the Odesa Regional State Administration, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We are holding negotiations with the Moldovan side to complete all aspects regarding border [demarcation] between the countries. We have already approached the coordination of the latest issues. As soon as we finish, we will actively cooperate. I think that it is very important for us to get new dynamics of the interaction with Moldova," Klimkin said.

According to the minister, "it is important, of course, both for the development of economic and political relations, taking into account the activation of Russia's propaganda efforts in neighboring Moldova."

Klimkin stressed that the border "Dniester River should unite us but not separate."

As known, on June 7 the Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement between the Governments of Moldova and Ukraine on cooperation in the field of protection of the Dniester River.
