The EU Delegation to Ukraine has congratulated Ukrainians on the decision of the Council of the European Union to exempt Ukrainian citizens from EU short-stay visa requirements.
The video has been published on the EU Delegation Facebook page.
"Today, on May 11, the Council of the European Union in Brussels has approved the visa-free regime between Ukraine and the European countries. The EU Delegation to Ukraine congratulates you on approach of the visa-free regime," the statement says.
Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli addressed the audience in Ukrainian, while the diplomats from various EU countries in their own language invited Ukrainians to visit the European Union.
As reported, the Council of the European Union has approved visa-free regime for Ukraine without discussion.
The visa-free travels for Ukrainian citizens are to come into force on June 11.
Pursuant to the procedure, the documents should be subsequently signed by President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani and the Permanent Representative of Malta to the EU.
