Ukrainian Foreign Minister Klimkin, US President Trump discuss further efforts to support Ukraine. Photos

Being on a three-day visit to Washington, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with U.S. President Donald Trump and U.S. Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday.

This is said in the statement posted on the Facebook page of the Ukraine’s Embassy in the United States.

"U.S. President Donald and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin met at the White House and discussed further efforts to support Ukraine," the Ukrainian diplomatic mission informs.

Before that, Minister Klimkin met with U.S. Vice President Mike Pence.

"The interlocutors discussed in detail a situation in Donbas. Pavlo Klimkin thanked for unwavering position of the U.S. Administration in support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and in countering Russian aggression," the statement reads.

Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly also participated in the meetings. 

After the talks with U.S. leadership, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin briefed President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on results of the meetings at the White House.
