Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy has congratulated officers and veterans of the Security Service of Ukraine on the professional day, noting that the SBU is confidently responding to modern threats and challenges.
The text of the congratulation of the speaker has been published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
"Today, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Security Service in Independent Ukraine... Security and protection of citizens is the most important condition for existence and development of an independent state, especially in today's conditions of Russian aggression. In the extremely complicated conditions of the hybrid war conducted by Putin's Russia against Ukraine, the role of the SBU can be hardly overestimated. The Ukrainian Security Service confidently responds to all threats and challenges," the report says.
