The Foreign Ministry of Georgia condemns Russia's aggression against Ukraine, which led to the annexation of Crimea.
This has been reported by Radio Liberty.
"The Foreign Ministry of Georgia condemns Russia's aggression against Ukraine and an attempt to forcibly change its borders. The international community should take a consolidated position to counter aggression against sovereign states," the Georgian Foreign Ministry noted.
Three years ago, Russian armed forces started occupying Crimea. On March 16, 2014, an illegal "referendum" took place on the peninsula, and on March 18 Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Crimea became a part of the Russian Federation.
The annexation of Crimea by Russia is not recognized either by Ukraine or by the international community. Ukraine officially considers Crimea as the temporarily occupied territory.
