Court chooses pre-trial restriction for Roman Nasirov

Kyiv's Solomiansky District Court chose a pre-trial restriction for suspended Head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov in the form of custody for the term of two months with possible bailment in the amount of UAH 100 million.

Judge Oleksandr Bobrovnyk announced the relevant ruling, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“To apply a pre-trial restriction in the form of custody for 60 days for Roman Nasirov... A bail is set in the amount of 62,500 living wages for able-bodied persons, which amounts to one hundred million hryvnias,” said the judge.

The judge also added that the court’s ruling on the pre-trial restriction for Nasirov in the form of custody expires on April 30, 2017 at 11.50 p.m.

As earlier reported, Head of Ukraine's State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov was arrested in Feofania, near Kyiv, in the evening on March 2. He is suspected of abuse of office and embezzlement of public funds in the amount of over UAH 2 billion. On March 3, Roman Nasirov was removed from office.
