U.S. Vice President Mike Pence: Russia is responsible for implementation of Minsk agreements

Russia should start to implement the agreements on suspension of hostilities in eastern Ukraine.
Vice President of the United States Mike Pence said this after the meeting with President of the European Council Donald Tusk in Brussels on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"With respect to Ukraine, the United States will continue to see the responsibility of Russia and call on Russia to start the de-escalation of violence in eastern Ukraine in accordance with the Minsk agreements," the Vice President said.
Mr. Pence expressed the hope that the announced ceasefire in Donbas would be finally observed "for the sake of peace and innocent human lives."
"We hope and pray for this ceasefire," Pence said.
