German foreign minister confirms meeting in "Normandy format" in Munich

The meeting of foreign ministers of countries participating in "Normandy format" is planned to be held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
German Foreign Ministry's Spokesman Sebastian Fischer said this on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported from Germany.
"The foreign minister [of the Federal Republic of Germany] has invited his French, Russian and Ukrainian colleagues to hold a meeting in "Normandy format", which will take place in the framework of the Munich Security Conference," Fisher said.
According to him, the parties will discuss first of all a ceasefire in Avdiivka area, withdrawal of troops and heavy weapons from the contact line. The ministers will also discuss the next steps in the implementation of the Minsk agreement, the diplomat said.
