Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Artem Sytnyk says that a bill on the creation of an anti-corruption court in Ukraine has been already submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.

Artem Sytnyk said this at a press conference entitled “Results of activities of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine over the period from August 2016 till February 2017,” which was held at Ukrinform on Friday.

“Such a bill has been already submitted to the Verkhovna Rada. Now there is no question on the creation or non-creation [of the anti-corruption court]. At present the issue is considered regarding the procedure of appointment of these judges. And I'm glad because we have a real opportunity to create an anti-corruption court until the end of the current year, if Parliament approves relevant legislation and there are political decisions of those agencies responsible for the creation of courts,” Sytnyk said.
