Vice PM Rozenko: Retirement age not be raised in Ukraine

Ukrinform
The Ukrainian government doesn’t intend to raise the retirement age in Ukraine.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko wrote this on Facebook.

"The pension reform must take place, and I hope it will be finally carried out. The retirement age will not be increased in Ukraine! And that’s final,” Rozenko wrote.

He expressed concerns about media reports on the alleged increase in retirement age for Ukrainian citizens with a reference to an IMF representative.

Earlier, the IMF stated that an increase in retirement age for working people in Ukraine is one of the ways to create an improved pension system with better payments and that this issue is currently under consideration as part of the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility program for Ukraine.
