PACE welcomes ambitious reforms in Ukraine - draft resolution

Ukrinform
The PACE Monitoring Committee has welcomed the progress of reforms in Ukraine under difficult conditions of Russian aggression, but it urges to intensify the fight against corruption.

This has been stated in the draft resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine, which will be voted for on Wednesday, January 25, at the PACE winter session in Strasbourg, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"The Parliamentary Assembly welcomes the ambitious program of reforms adopted by the Ukrainian leadership in order to meet the requirements of Ukrainians put forward during the Revolution of Dignity. The assembly recognizes that the reforms are carried out under difficult conditions caused by the Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine and the illegal annexation of Crimea," reads a draft document.
