Poroshenko expresses gratitude to President of Finland for support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has held a meeting with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö in the course of the first official visit to Finland for 11 years.
This has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.
President Poroshenko expressed gratitude to President Niinistö for a clear and firm support of Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence.
“I am grateful that Finland firmly stands for the preservation of the EU sanctions against Russia until full restoration of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the President said.
In the course of the meeting, the parties have also discussed brutal violation of human rights in Crimea and Donbas. The President urged to increase pressure on Russia in order to liberate Ukrainian hostages from the occupied territories and Russian prisons.
