Poroshenko expected to visit 53rd Munich Security Conference in February - Consul General

A visit of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to the 53rd Munich Security Conference, which is scheduled for February, can give an impetus to resolving of topical issues between our country and the Russian Federation.

Vadym Kostyuk, the Consul General of Ukraine in Munich (Germany), said this at a briefing in the framework of the project "Diplomacy without borders", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is expected to visit the 53rd Munich Security Conference in February. According to preliminary data, US President Donald Trump, French President Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in this conference," Kostyuk said.

He expressed hope that this visit of the Head of State to Munich "will give an impetus to the solution of problems that Ukraine has got in its relations with the Russian Federation."

The Munich Security Conference is an annual conference held in Munich (Germany) since 1962.
