Poland issues Ukrainians 15% visas more last year

KYIV, January 17 /Ukrinform/. In 2014, the Polish consular offices in Ukraine issued more than 831 thousand visas to Ukrainians, which is 15% more than in 2013. Number of visa refusals was 2.66% (over 22 thousands).

The Polish Foreign Ministry reported this in response to the information inquiry from an Ukrinform correspondent.

"In 2014, the Polish consulates in Ukraine issued 831,303 visas - 555,301 Schengen visas (type C) and 276,002 national visas (type D). In addition, the consulates issued 22,154 refusals - 10,191 on Schengen visas, and 11,963 on national visas. The number of refusals against the number of the issued visas in 2014 was 2.66%," the Polish Foreign Ministry informed.

Compared to the year 2013, last year showed a 15% increase in the number of visas issued in the Polish consulates in Ukraine - 5% for Schengen visas and 43% for national ones.

Traditionally, most visas were issued in Lviv.

The Polish Foreign Ministry stressed that Poland is the leader among the EU countries in issuing visas to Ukrainians.
