. The parliamentary faction Batkivshchyna insists on early consideration of the amnesty bill, which was introduced in parliament on Tuesday.

This was announced at a press briefing on Wednesday by the author of the bill, deputy head of the faction, Andriy Kozhemiakin.

"The bill on amnesty in Ukraine was submitted yesterday, clearly stating that every year Ukraine must hold amnesty under the law adopted by the Verkhovna Rada," Kozhemiakin said.

At the same time, he noted that today no one clearly answered his question when the bill would be considered.

Replying to a question, whether the bill concerns Yulia Tymoshenko, Kozhemiakin said that it contains provisions on convicts, in particular Tymoshenko. "But our position is clear that Tymoshenko is not subject to amnesty, because she was convicted illegally," he said.
