11th Europe - Ukraine Forum will be held in Rzeszów (Poland), March 13th-14th, 2018

Association with the EU and What’s Next? This is the mission statement of the 11th Europe - Ukraine Forum, which will take place on 13th and 14th March. The representatives of governments and parliaments, European institutions, politics, diplomacy, business and science world from Europe and the United States will gather in Jasionka near Rzeszów, Poland.

In spite of the crisis that Ukraine has been experiencing in recent years due to the war and Russian occupation of Crimea and part of the Ukrainian Donbas, there are clear signs of improvement in the country's economic situation. Economic and political cooperation with Western countries has also revived. However, various factors that is: poorly visible effects of the ongoing reforms, growing political divisions, economic instability and general scarcity,  quickly result in increasingly widespread social discontent. Therefore, the question whether Ukraine will take advantage of the opportunities offered by the cooperation with the EU and other countries in 2018, remains extremely relevant. What are the next steps for Kiev and its European partners in order to ensure country's constant development and its integration with the West?

Modernization, development of the Ukraine’s potential as well as directions for growth and strong pace of reforms will be the leading themes of the 11th Europe-Ukraine Forum.                        This conference has been organized since 2007 and still is one of the most relevant events of the Institute for Eastern Studies. 

The Speaker of the ‘Sejm’ - lower house of the Polish parliament, Mr. Marek Kuchciński, has confirmed his honorary patronage of the Europe - Ukraine Forum. “These meetings, organized for over ten years, have become a tradition, which shows the significance of the initiative” states Mr. Kuchciński. The speaker of the Polish Parliament emphasizes that this year’s debates will surely bring some accurate and interesting conclusions.

Approximately 500 participants from Poland, Ukraine, other Eastern partnership countries, the European Union, USA and Russia, including government members, politicians, businessmen, regional authorities officials, representatives of international organizations and think tanks will attend this prominent event.

During two days of the 11th Europe-Ukraine Forum, over 40 discussion panels about the economic, political and social issues, will be held. The Main Report and 10 economy presentations from the Ukrainian region will be delivered.

The 11th Europe - Ukraine Forum will be accompanied by very significant event, namely The 2nd Eastern Trade Fair in Rzeszów, with more than 70 exhibitors visiting from several European countries. The Trade Fair, open to the public this year, will not only be the tremendous opportunity to present flagship products and projects which may result in strengthening company’s market position, but also a great platform to establish business contacts and exchange experiences.

Traditionally, the Europe - Ukraine Forum will take place at The Exhibition & Congress Centre, of the G2A Arena, in Jasionka (near Rzeszów), Podkarpackie Voivodship.

The organizer of the Forum is the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies, an organizer of the Economic Forum in Krynica. Podkarpackie Voivodship is the Event’s co-organizer.
