Key facts, early 1991 Mr Mark Rostworowski was the custodian of the MNiC and the Minister of Culture in the government of John Bielecki. 

He prepared and signed a contract to lease MNiC collections to a newly founded family foundation. The National Museum in Cracow after 1991 was still the legal guardian of the collections.

At the beginning of April 2016 and then in the May, Adam Chartoryisky and Marian Wolkowski-Wolski President of the Chartoryisky Foundation were informed in writing by Marcin Szymczak-Nowosielski's about the possibility of support in the hire of the entire collection of the Princes Chartoryisky Museum not just in to the Ministry of Culture and Heritage. The core subject of the talks related to the lease of the great collection paintings belonging to the the Adam Chartoryisky Foundation at the national museum in Cracow was initiated in May and June.

Information nonexclusively were provided  with the cabinet Director Andrew Betlej National Museum in Cracow as well. Both of the men received guarantee of success in negotiating in the renting of the collection if they will contact previously with Mr M.Svirski who is in a higher relations by his Foundation with Mr P.Glinski, the Minister of Culture in Polnad from 2015.

Moreover, on May 17, 2016 there was a day-long visit and meeting about the details of the support as above between the members of the board of the Chartoryisky Foundation and representatives of the director's office of the National Museum in Cracow and also with Marcin de Sapieha' Szymczak-Nowosielski as a rightful heirs family history and memorabilia.

A keen ski enthusiast, Marcin de Sapieha' Szymczak-Nowosielski as with any other member of the family says it hasn't now decided to demand the return of the Sapieha-Nowosielski family heirlooms from the begining 1728 as previously planned.

1. The negotiations between the Poland’s culture ministry and H.E. Adam  Chartoryisky, founder of the Princes Chartoryisky Foundation and chairman of its Board reached a compromise after several months. NMiC total value of the whole collections and estate according to the fair valuation of the market value could be as much as 1 billion EURO,

Minister P.Glinski added that the value of the transaction amounted to 100 million euros. The announcement only changes the status of the collection, which was set up in 1802. The artworks will remain where they are today.

2. The Met Antiquities, a crystal cup hand-made engraved and bearing princely styles and title's bears the date 1728 and is adorned with the Polish - Lithuanian Commonwealth coats of arms beneath the royal crown. A crystals has the owners Leon's wife Salomea Nowosielska de Sapieha – royal Cupbearer of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania 1698-1741, some of the heirloom of the family were in the collection among others in the Foundation of the Chartoryisky. Most are housed and displayed in the Museum in Cracow. We extend our heartiest congratulations to all those, past and present, who have guided, shaped and sustained the memorial collection.
