Fake video: Ukrainians ‘order’ advertising against assistance to Israel

Russian propaganda faked a video of a New York City walking tour

Kremlin media, z-Telegram channels and pro-Russian Tik-Tok users share a video with street billboard ads in blue and yellow colors reading two slogans: “Helping Jews = burning money” and “Stand with Ukraine" which allegedly appeared in New York.

In their posts, Russian propagandists claim that ads were "ordered" by Ukrainians and President Volodymyr Zelensky personally.

This is a fake. Propagandists used graphic editors to forge a video of a New York City walking tour that was posted on YouTube on August 23, 2023, cutting out eight seconds of the video (6:03 - 6:11) and replacing the ad on transport stop with a fake banner.

This is not the first fake video created by Russian propagandists to discredit Ukraine and Ukrainians. In particular, Ukrinform already wrote about fake ads in Berlin and Tokyo made by Russians.

It should also be noted that Ukraine supported Israel after Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. U.S. President Joseph Biden supports both Ukraine and Israel, so he asked Congress for $106 billion in assistance to both countries.

Earlier, Russian propaganda spread fake about Ukraine’s alleged transfer of Western weapons to Hamas terrorists.
