In Brovary, car collides with bus: Two children killed, and seven injured in hospital

The accident occurred on June 19 at 7:55 p.m. Preliminary investigations by law enforcement revealed that a 29-year-old driver of a VAZ car, while traveling along Pryvokzalna Street, veered into the oncoming lane and collided with a bus driven by a 54-year-old driver.
As a result of the accident, a 2-year-old girl died at the scene, and the driver and eight passengers of the VAZ sustained injuries.
Investigators from the Kyiv Regional Police Investigation Department have launched a pre-trial investigation into a violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation regulations by drivers, resulting in the death of the victim (Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The number of children killed in the traffic accident in Brovary, Kyiv region, has increased to two.
As Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapozhko later added, another child—a 4-year-old girl—died in the hospital from her injuries.
According to updated information, there were 10 people in the car—three adults and seven children aged 2 to 11.
“Everyone—both adults and children—suffered significant injuries and trauma. Seven are currently in our hospital in critical and moderate condition; one child was discharged home after receiving treatment; two girls died,” Sapozhko said.
