Three major fires rage in Mykolaiv, flames reach residential areas
According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
By evening, more than 50 fires had been reported in the Mykolaiv region, covering a total area of over 400 hectares.
“Three large fires are currently raging in the city, where gusty winds have caused the fire to spread to residential areas. In the Ternivka microdistrict, which covers an area of approximately 10 hectares, the flames have damaged two residential buildings and three farm buildings,” the report said.

Firefighters are taking all necessary measures, but strong gusty winds are complicating the extinguishing process. Reserve crews and water delivery equipment have been called in to help extinguish the fires.

Local firefighters are assisting, and local businesses are helping by providing special equipment and water trucks.

According to Ukrinform, on June 29, in the Mykolaiv region, State Emergency Service rescuers extinguished a 60-hectare fire that spread to a wheat field and a private sector.
