IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi has met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Zaporizhzhia.

According to Ukrinform, the IAEA chief said this on his Twitter account.

"I met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today in Zaporizhzhia City & had a rich exchange on the protection of the Zaporizhzhia NPP and its staff," Grossi wrote.

He also reiterated the full support of the IAEA to Ukraine's nuclear facilities.

In another tweet, Grossi wrote that he had visited the Dnipro hydroelectric station together with Zelensky.

"The Dnieper hydroelectric station is an essential part of the system that sustains the nuclear safety of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Volodymyr Zelensky showed me the recent damage suffered by the dam," he said.

Grossi earlier announced his intention to visit the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

A rotation of IAEA inspectors was held at the station on March 2. It was to be held in early February, but the invaders blocked the rotation.
