Russian troops shelled Dnipropetrovsk region with MLRS, barrel artillery all night

Russian troops shelled the Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts of Dnipropetrovsk region, using MLRS and barrel artillery, all night on August 21.

Valentyn Reznichenko, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"We were shelled all night long... Two districts - Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih - suffered from enemy attacks again," he wrote.

According to Reznichenko, the enemy struck the Nikopol district five times. Russians fired 25 shells from barrel artillery at Nikopol. The shelling caused a huge fire at one of the enterprises, destroying equipment there. In the city, a school was damaged, one house was destroyed, and about 20 other buildings were damaged too. Gas pipelines and power lines are broken. More than 3,000 Nikopol citizens remain without electricity. Emergency crews are working on the site. No casualties among civilians were reported.

The Marhanets community came under enemy fire three times. Russian used barrel artillery and Grad MLRS. No casualties among civilians were reported.

In Marhanets, a high-voltage line was damaged, leaving more than 2,200 homes without power. Restoration work is ongoing.

In the Myrove community, the enemy fired barrel artillery 10 times. Five houses were destroyed.

In the Kryvyi Rih district, Russians shelled the communities of Apostolove and Zelenodolsk with Uragan MLRS. There were no casualties among civilians. No damage was done, the regional governor said.
