Over 130 towns and villages in Ukraine left without electricity due to bad weather

Bad weather conditions have left 138 towns and villages in seven regions of Ukraine without electricity, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.
"As of 7 a.m. on August 18, bad weather conditions (gusts of wind, rain, and thunderstorm) caused blackouts in 138 settlements in seven regions, in particular: Zhytomyr region – 70, Kyiv region – 30, Khmelnytsky region – 24, Chernihiv region – 9, Dnipropetrovsk region – 2, Chernivtsi region – 2, and Kirovohrad region – 1," the report reads.
Emergency teams of regional power distribution companies have been involved in the restoration of power supply.
As Ukrinform reported, on Wednesday, August 18, thunderstorms, hail, and wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected in most regions of Ukraine.
