Adverse weather leaves 143 towns and villages in four Ukrainian regions without electricity

Adverse weather conditions have left 143 towns and villages in four regions of Ukraine without electricity, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.

"As of January 28, bad weather conditions (rain and snow mixed, wind gusts) caused blackouts in 143 settlements in four regions, in particular: Odesa region – 113, Kirovohrad region – 19, Cherkasy region – 10, and Zaporizhzhia region – 1,” the report reads.

Emergency teams of regional power distribution companies have been involved in the restoration of power supply.
