Emergency Service: Almost 6,000 fires extinguished over past week

Firefighters of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine extinguished 5,859 fires during the last week, from April 6 to April 12.
“During the last week, the units of the State Emergency Service saved 46 people, extinguished 5,859 fires,” reads a report released by the State Emergency Service.
Also, fires were prevented from spreading to 1,290 buildings and 51 units of equipment. At the same time, 45 persons died from fires. According to data provided, estimated losses make up about UAH 7.622 million.
In addition, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service detected and disposed 1,079 explosive devices during the past week.
The Emergency Service reported that 14 persons died in waterways during the past week.
