Over 5,000 explosives disposed in Ukraine since start of year – State Emergency Service

Since the start of 2020, explosive ordnance disposal teams of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have found and disposed over 5,000 explosive devices, the press service of the Interior Ministry reported.
“As of March 10, explosive ordnance disposal teams of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine detected and disposed 5,085 explosives, including 61 areal bombs,” reads the report
In addition, humanitarian demining is carried out in the liberated territories of Donetsk and Luhansk region.
In particular, on March 9, explosive ordnance disposal teams cleared the territory of 1.28 ha in Donetsk region, where one explosive device was found and removed. On the same day in Luhansk region, the territory of 0.52 hectares was cleared and six explosives detected.
