Over 200 towns and villages in Ukraine still without electricity due to bad weather

As of Friday morning, February 7, some 203 populated areas in eight regions of Ukraine were still left without electricity due to bad weather conditions, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has reported.

“Bad weather conditions (strong wind, snow and rain mixed) caused blackouts in 203 populated areas in eight regions, in particular: Odesa region – 100 populated areas, Kherson region – 40, Dnipropetrovsk region – 16, Mykolaiv region – 11, Chernivtsi region – 11, Zaporizhzhia region – 9, Kirovohrad region – 9, and Donetsk region – 7,” reads the report.

Emergency response teams of regional power distribution companies were involved in the restoration of power supply.
