Avalanche danger remains ‘considerable’ in Ukrainian Carpathians

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has issued warnings for Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions, where avalanches are possible on February 4-5.
"According to the forecasts of Ukraine’s Hydrometeorological Center, a considerable avalanche danger (level 3) remains in the high-mountain area in Zakarpattia region and the mountainous area in Ivano-Frankivsk region on February 4-5,” reads the report.
In addition, avalanche risk (level 3) is expected in Chernivtsi region on February 5.
