Snow avalanche risk expected in three Ukrainian regions

On February 2-4, significant avalanche danger is expected in mountainous areas of Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions.
The State Emergency Service reported this with reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecasts.
“On February 2-4, a considerable (III) level of avalanche risk is expected in mountainous areas of Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions due to thaw and precipitation in the mountains,” the report says.
In addition, there is a threat of snow falling on highways in the mountainous areas of Zakarpattia region.
