Snow avalanche risk expected in Lviv and Zakarpattia regions

On January 30, significant avalanche danger is expected in mountainous areas of Lviv and Zakarpattia regions due to thaw.
The State Emergency Service reported this with reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecasts.
“On January 30, a considerable (III) level of avalanche risk is expected in mountainous areas of Zakarpattia and Lviv regions due to thaw,” the report reads.
In addition, there is a threat of snow falling on highways in the mountainous areas of Zakarpattia region.
