Bad weather leaves 479 towns and villages in Ukraine without electricity

Adverse weather conditions have left 479 populated areas in 10 regions of Ukraine without electricity, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has reported.
“As of Wednesday morning, bad weather conditions (snow, wet snow and wind gusts) caused blackouts in 479 populated areas in 10 regions, in particular: Dnipropetrovsk region – 172 populated areas, Poltava region – 119, Kirovohrad region – 68, Luhansk region – 47, Kharkiv region – 33, Cherkasy region – 12, Sumy region – 9, Donetsk region – 9, Chernihiv region – 8 and Mykolayiv region – 2,” reads the report.
The emergency teams of regional power companies started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
