Defense Ministry: Fire at arms depots in Chernihiv region contained

The fire at the arms depots in Chernihiv region has been contained.
"As of 14.00, the fire was contained. The intensity of explosions continues to decline, smoke is observed over the territory of the depots, single explosions are heard," Ukraine’s Defense Ministry Spokesman Oleksiy Chornobay said.
As noted, the response group, headed by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko and Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Ihor Pavlovsky, is working at the site of the emergency.
It was reported at 03.30 on Tuesday, October 9, that a fire broke out at the arms depots of military unit A1479 of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the village of Druzhba in the Ichnia district of Chernihiv region. About 10,000 people have been evacuated from the scene of the incident.
