Groysman in Chernihiv region holds special meeting over fire at arms depots

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has arrived in Chernihiv region where fire broke out at military warehouses near the village of Druzhba in Ichnia district.
The prime minister held a special meeting of the operational headquarters regarding the current situation at the ammunition depots. He instructed all services to respond to the situation and be ready to quickly help local residents, the government’s press service told Ukrinform.
Groysman also instructed the State Emergencies Service and the local authorities to be in constant contact with people, to arrange places for their accommodation and to be ready to start the heating season.
As reported, early on October 9, a fire broke out at the arms depots of military unit A1479 of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Ichnia district. Some 10,000 local residents have already been evacuated.
