Torrential rain floods central streets in Kyiv

Torrential rain and thunderstorms last night have flooded Khreshchatyk and a number of other streets in the Ukrainian capital, Informator.Kyiv has reported on Facebook.
In particular, the thoroughfare Khreshchatyk was flooded. Water drains could not cope with this amount of water.
"A car is stuck in the middle of the road. The car is in the water. The street is completely flooded. Cars just cannot get through. Many of them turn around and go back," the report says.
In addition, the underground passageway on Besarabska Square was also submerged.
There were also reports of flooding in the Podil district.
