Bad weather leaves 143 towns and villages in Ukraine without electricity

As of Tuesday morning, 143 populated areas in six regions of Ukraine were left without electricity supply because of bad weather conditions.
This is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
“Adverse weather conditions (hail, thunderstorm, wind gusts) caused blackouts in 143 populated areas in six regions: Ternopil region – 58 populated areas, Lviv region – 46, Khmelnytsky region – 15, Zhytomyr region – 15, Chernivtsi region – 8, and Zaporizhzhia region – 1,” reads the report.
Emergency teams of Oblenergo were involved to carry out needed repair works to resume electricity supply.
Local authorities jointly with the State Emergency Service took measures to eliminate the consequences of bad weather.
